The BASE calculation engine
acquires information from other management systems
and/or operational environments, allowing the BASE
system to perform valuable information collaboration
that is organized both vertically and horizontally.
Specific real-time measurable components are refined
into Business Behavior Indicators (BBI) to provide an
accurate picture of the current state of the business
in sufficient detail to drill down to the individual
processes, clusters or network elements. The
collection of BBI’s is then compared in real time
against service objectives and reporting thresholds in
order to verify internal (service and operational
quality), external (with 3rd party vendors), or
customer service level commitments and compliance with
Business Performance Objectives. BASE provides up to
date information revealing the efficiency of your
business, the financial implications of your current
performance levels, and automated support for service
agreement compliance.
This architecture and
implementation strategy provides IT management with an
integrated, dynamic, high level view of operations and
business concerns. Much like a dashboard on a high
performance automobile, the BASE entry screen provides
a series of calibrated instrumentation to display
Business Behavior Indicators focused on the 4 prime
areas of Balanced Scorecard: Financial, Customer,
Organization, and Operations.
Unlike the dashboard on that
automobile, the BASE system allows you to define what
is to be displayed, what scale shall be applied, how
critical information is disseminated, and gives you
the ability to do real time investigation and analysis
by drilling down through the business behavior
indicators to their lowest level data components.
