The center piece of our solution is a software product named BASE^[TM] (Business Assurance Solution Environment). It is a platform containing powerful data acquisition and calculation algorithms designed to refine raw business data into sophisticated business intelligence. At its core BASE maintains a set of basic business logic calculators that operate on normalized data and business rules (such as industry regulations) to create business status views with high efficiency. The normalization feature allows the application to be applied to a variety of industries with very low development costs. The BASE core is customized to serve a particular industry segment (such as the IT arena or Financial Services or Telecommunications) through a set of business specific extensions developed to serve the customers business environment. This architecture provides an efficient economic foundation on which to integrate the client’s specific and unique business processes that are fundamental to the business structure and value chain. The rules and calculation engine are tunable to the requirements of a corporation’s specific operating environment.

Part of the business specific extensions is a set of Application Plug-In (API) Modules which are created to interface with a client’s existing information systems. BASE uses these APIs to gather the data required and then normalizes it for efficient processing. Operating in real time BASE can be tuned to produce reports based on minutes or days or weeks of business operations.

The result is a system that goes beyond current Operations Support Systems (OSS) capabilities, providing a new class of Operations Enhancement Systems (OES) that can grasp the relevant data from the entire business environment and turn that data into a powerful new level of actionable business intelligence.

BASE solutions are particularly valuable in providing the key measurements required to improve the quality of many process. Specifically designed to provide quality management support, BASE will add value and reliability by closely integrating business processes with quality improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Balanced Scorecard.
